Jay W. Wagner, a member of both the Real Property Section and the Zoning and Land Use Section of the North Carolina Bar Association, has 18 years of experience in real estate and land use and zoning practice. In particular, Mr. Wagner has experience in developing and crafting land use statutes and regulations, and can provide consulting services for those seeking to revitalize urban commercial districts.

Mr. Wagner currently serves on the High Point City Council and served 7 years on the High Point Planning and Zoning Commission (2 years as Chairman). Mr. Wagner served on the steering committee for the rewrite of High Point’s recently-enacted Unified Development Ordinance (Update High Point). In addition, he was instrumental in the creation of High Point’s Main Street zoning district and Washington Street zoning district overlay. Mr. Wagner is well known in High Point as a primary advocate and driving force for the revitalization of High Point’s commercial urban core.
